Colorado State University Crew Team Equipment Support

Hello! We are the CSU Rowing Team, competing as CSU Rams in a variety of races across the west and mid-west, including Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Colorado, and Texas. Since our program's founding back in 2005, we have been building and fostering a team of dedicated student-athletes. Our mission is to provide a fun and competitive rowing experience to novice and experienced rowers at Colorado State University. We emphasize team bonding and leadership to create a more cohesive team and provide opportunities for growth to both the team and each of our rowers individually.

Recently, our team has been given the opportunity to relocate and store our equipment and hopefully put a new dock in at the Marina up at Horsetooth within the coming months! With this project, we will need to have some on-shore boat racks as well as a module set of blocks to build our dock out into the water. Our team currently has three operational 8+ shells, one operational 4+ shell, and a newly donated 4x shell that we will be using to teach new and returning members how to scull. We also as two other 8+ shells that we use for parts and plenty of other equipment, such as sets of oars, tool kits, boat slings, and equipment boxes, that we are currently keeping on our newly renovated and repainted shell trailer!  As our program continues to grow and welcome more student-athletes, we would like to be able to build storage spaces and boat racks to hold all of our equipment up at the Marina, as well as a new and useful dock to launch our boats and foster a healthy practice area. 

Furthermore, our team is looking to host our first-ever at-home race up here on Horsetooth Reservoir! We will be inviting schools from Colorado, Kansas, Texas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, and Utah with the hopes of bringing in a great group of racers for a 2000m sprint scrimmage in early April 2024. To host such an expansive and new event, we will need to consider the costs of racing lanes and buoys on water, volunteers to help run the event, bathroom areas, speakers, parking, food, and race officials to make sure that this event runs as smoothly and safely as possible. We're hoping to cover the cost of these items and of hosting a race with your help! 

With your support, we could make all of this happen and continue to build our program but creating a new and efficient practice and equipment space for our club on the Horsetooth Reservoir, helping lead us into efficiency, success, and victory!
