Support Local K-12 Students through the CSU School is Cool Program!

We're proud to be highlighted on “Word of Thanks” during Next with Kyle Clark on 9 News Denver!

As an institution of higher learning, Colorado State University understands the importance of education and supporting our surrounding community. School is Cool is a CSU community outreach program that blends these priorities by providing backpacks filled with grade-specific school supplies to elementary, middle, and high school students in the Poudre School District (PSD).

Since its inception in 1992, this CSU employee-led and organized program has provided nearly 60,000 PSD students with the resources they need to excel in the classroom. Last year alone, School is Cool provided supply-filled backpacks to 2,729 students in 33 schools. With the support of our program sponsors – the CSU Bookstore and the Bohemian Foundation – as well as the generosity of university alumni, faculty, staff, and friends, we can impact even more students. 

A gift of just $30 can provide a brand-new backpack filled with grade-specific school supplies to a student in need. All donations to this project will benefit the "School is Cool" Program fund. Will you give today and support students in our community?
