Education in Motion

Now in its 8th year, EDUCATION IN MOTION, presented by Colorado State University's School of Music, Theatre, and Dance, invites pK-12 educators from across Colorado to explore integrating movement and dance into the classroom. We provide tools and practices to reach more diverse learners, including sessions around social and emotional learning, mindfulness and teacher wellness, culturally relevant pedagogy, and trauma informed teaching. We connect teachers to brainstorm and collaborate on ways to meet the needs of their students and enhance the culture of learning in our schools.

Help us meet our goal of raising $10,000 to support this vital program!

Thanks to generous dance program supporter Jim Vidakovich, the first $2,500 in gifts made to this campaign will be matched dollar for dollar!

"This seminar represented all the qualities of learning that we desire for our students...and was an embodiment of 21st century skills: collaboration, creativity, critical thinking, and problem solving. If more teachers learned and used these strategies, there would be a lesser need for counseling support for individual students." - Gretta St. Martin, Elementary School Counselor, Timnath Elementary
