Helping families care for their companions

Deep passion and care lie at the heart of the Cardiology Client Support fund. Created by a grateful client and philanthropist from the Seattle area in 2017, the fund's vision is clear – to provide financial assistance to deserving families challenged by the cost of specialty care for their beloved companion animals. Over the past four years, donations to this account have helped dozens of families by providing much-needed cardiology care for patients big and small. For dogs like Piper, this treatment was truly life-changing. Piper, a 7-month-old Australian Shepard puppy, came to CSU with an abnormal vessel near her heart. The cardiology team closed the vessel using a minimally-invasive approach, and Piper was on her way home to her family the next day. "Thank you for everything," Piper's owner, Jan, wrote after the surgery, "please thank whoever the donors are who made this possible. I can't begin to express how much this has meant to me".
