Sankofa...be that BridJ!

With you, we hope to reach our goal of $5000 raised to support our programs and scholarships. We strive to raise $3,000 for our Black/African American Cultural Center fund and $2,000 for the Sankofa…be that BridJ! scholarship fund.

Sankofa…be that BridJ!: Supporting this scholarship will help us to award students impactful dollars as they graduate. This will help offset the busy and costly graduation process and into their next professional opportunities!  This award was created for graduating seniors who participated in Rites of Passage and served as a mentor focusing on historically underrepresented students at CSU. The last year of college is not easy, students are finishing up their college experience while applying for jobs or graduate school, and all that comes with a cost. Therefore, this award will be distributed to a graduating senior in their last semester with hopes this will offset their expenses.

Black/African American Cultural Center: Giving B/AACC will support not only our Rites of Passage program but a variety of other services and resources for students that engage with our center and our community. These services provide a safe space for students to build community during their years at CSU. To support this fund, you can choose to make the additional gift in the checkout page, or you can click here and be directed to a dedicated giving page for these programs and services.

With your help, our students will enter college thriving and graduate on the path to personal and professional success.  Please spread the word by sharing this giving link – email or share on social media with anyone you believe would like to support our center and our students.  Remember to join us in programming centered around celebration and education during Black History Month, see the list of activities here and visit our website here.
